Autonomy

In 2008 while on a break from live music and during the creation of Watchlistentell, Dave shot his first short film 'Autonomy'. It won the London Independent Film Festival, for 'Best Short' the following year.

I used Autonomy to learn as much as I could about film craft. It was a remake of a German short film that I wanted to use as an exercise in filmmaking. I added scenes/dialogue/characters, and took on the challenge of performing every role of the film’s production. With no budget, I just wanted to learn as much as I could and try to make something that the cast would feel proud of.
